Minimum Version Required: 22.01

Pre-Conditions

  • The following document assumes the trading partner already has an EDI connection setup with their customers

Steps

How to navigate the Exchange Configurations Dashboard

  1. Once at EDI Home dashboard, navigate to the third tab Exchange Configurations below the navigating search bar

  2. Arrowing into the configuration will do the same as adding columns to the table and will provide more information such as Routing Method, Import Routine, Trading Partner, etc

  3. ISA Qualifier/IDs are defined during EDI setups and both parties must identify the same specifications upon setup

    - Configurations can only successfully transmit files if both EDI providers use the same ISA qualifier/IDs

  4. Click View Exchange Configurations to view the table view of the configurations

    - Sub-table Exchange Task will make the Exchange Tasks under this configuration appear. Exchange Tasks pass through configurations and they are assigned a unique Exchange Task ID

Best Practices

  • Filtering in this order works best to find the right configuration: Exchange Map (*star search trading partner's name, EDI provider, or Encompass map), Functional Type, then (if necessary) Sender or Receiver ISA ID

  • Configurations are set to a specific Exchange Map

  • Production = True shows the configuration is off; if this is set to False, the Configuration is turned off (available for testing here)
