How to update Custom Fields

    a. Search for the table you would like to update custom fields on. If you do not have one, search for Products

    c. Click Edit

    d. Scroll to the right to update the desired custom field

  • Column Alias - This is the name you would like to display for the custom field. Anything that still says 'CustomField' is available to use

  • Column Field - This is the system name for the custom field and cannot be changed

  • Data Type - This determines the data type input the field will use. For custom fields, we recommend TextArea

  • View Permission - This determines which permission is needed to view this field

  • Edit Permission - This determines which permission is needed to edit this field

  • Display by Default - Do you want this field to display in the default view of the table? If so, set it to Yes

  • Values - If you want the Custom Field to just be a text field, leave this blank. If you would like it to be a drop-down, enter the drop-down option you'd like to create, followed by a semi-colon and the next option. Do not enter any spaces. Example: Bronze; Silver; Gold

e. Once your values are entered, click Save Changes and you have now updated or created your custom field using the Custom Table Editor
