Add a new Recipe Version

Producer steps for creating a new Recipe Version on the Recipe Management dashboard in Encompass, the setup needed before starting a production or packaging batch. Requires v22.01+.

Minimum Version Required: 22.01

Pre-Conditions

In order to begin processing a batch, a Recipe Version will need to be created in order to provide the framework for creating the batch.

Steps

Creating the Recipe Version

  1. Navigate to the Recipe Management dashboard.
    ​

  2. Click the Add Recipe Version button.
    ​
    ​

  3. Name the Recipe Version.
    ​
    ​

  4. Select the Location.
    ​
    ​

  5. Select the Product that will be produced from this Recipe Version.
    ​
    ​

  6. If the Recipe Version will represent a packaging process, toggle on the Is Packaging option.
    ​
    ​

  7. Enter the number of units that should be produced, in the Planned Units field. For Packaging, the best practice is to set this field to 1.

  8. Enter the Unit of Measure (UoM) to correspond with the Planned Units field.
    ​
    ​

  9. If this Recipe Version will be used to produce a product for a Production Partner, select the appropriate Production Partner from the dropdown.

  10. If there are existing stages from an already created Recipe Version that you’d like to copy to this Recipe Version, you can select a Recipe Version from which the stages will be copied, in the Copy Stages from Recipe.

  11. Click the Add Recipe Version button.
    ​
    ​NOTE: Now that you have the Recipe Version created, you will then add or modify the Recipe Stages.
