Minimum Version Required: 23.01
Pre-Conditions
SRS reporting goes down to the product level. Fields from other levels of the Encompass Brand Hierarchy are used, but at a bare minimum, this new supplier must have at least one active product to be able to report to SRS.
Steps
Each Brand Family needs a Supplier Report Code (SRC). See How to populate the Supplier Report Code on the Brand Family.
The Supplier needs a "Suppliers Vendors" record for each "Location" that is selling the product.
Use this report to double-check the setup: SRS Reporting by Product.
How to Add a Suppliers Vendors
1. Navigate to the intended Supplier record.
2. Click Subtables.
3. Select "Suppliers Vendors" to view existing records and add new records.
4. Click Add Suppliers Vendors.
5. Enter information in the required and option fields.
Note: The SuppliersVendors record has two fields used in SRS reporting.
Fill in the "Distributor Number" for that Location. This value is provided by SRS or the Supplier.
Fill in the "Supplier Data Access". Setting this value to "Allow" tells the system to share this data through dsdlink.
6. Click Add Record.
Fields And Definitions
SuppliersVendors.DistributorNumber: This value is provided by SRS or the supplier. It is how they determine which Location the data belongs to.
SuppliersVendors.SupplierDataAccess: This value tells the system whether or not to share the data with the supplier via DSDLink. This works for both sending data to SRS and for suppliers accessing their data in DSDLink
BrandFamily.SupplierReportCode: This value is maintained in DSDLink by Encompass employees. It is how SRS knows what supplier to provide the data to on their end
Best Practices
Use the "Add From Global Products" tool to add all new Products. This ensures proper linking from the start.
Link all Products. This ensures that "Supplier Report Codes" and other links to the global product catalog are accurate.
