Minimum Version Required: 24.01

Pre-Conditions

  • For a variety of reasons, the SRS team will reach out to update one or more parts of the configuration to ensure the suppliers' data makes it to SRS as expected.

  • The SRS team will provide all the necessary information to make these changes. These changes can be as simple as updating a specific field, or at the most complex, they will require some manipulation of the brand hierarchy.

Steps

1. Update Supplier Report Code - The Supplier Report Code lives on the Brand Families table, and is inherited from dsdlink after at least one product or brand has been linked.

2. Update Distributor Number - The Distributor Number lives on the Suppliers Vendors table, and is maintained by the distributor. There can be one Supplier Vendors record per each Supplier Location combination.

3. These are the only fields that need updating for configuration changes. However, there may be instances where products, brands, or brand families will be moved around to satisfy the request.

For example, if two brand families are under the same supplier with different report codes, and SRS is requesting that only one of the brand families has a different distributor number, then that brand family will need to be broken out into its own supplier, as the distributor number lives at the supplier level of the hierarchy.

Best Practices

  • Use this report (SRS Reporting by Product) to double-check work.

  • Use the recommended Brand Hierarchy to maintain a clean portfolio and ensure SRS setups and configuration changes are quick and easy.
