Pre-Conditions
The supplier is currently reporting sales and inventory data to SRS.
Steps
There are two methods of turning off SRS reporting, and each has a slightly different outcome, explained below.
Option 1 - Turn off reporting to SRS while still allowing the supplier to access this data by logging into dsdlink.
For each existing Suppliers Vendors record, set the distributor number to 00000 (five zeroes).
Option 2 - Restrict the supplier's access to your Encompass data completely.
For each existing Suppliers Vendors record, set Supplier Data Access to Block.
Best Practices
Unless there is a specific reason you would like to restrict the supplier's access to your Encompass data completely, it is best to use Option 1. This prevents unnecessary data from being sent to SRS, but also still gives suppliers access to the data.
